To ensure that the restaurant outlet is clean, neat and tidy at all times (follow opening-, operational- & closing duties for both front & back of house).
To set tables as per outlet standard prior to guests’ arrival.
To have a thorough understanding and knowledge of all food and beverage items in the menu and the ability to recommend Food & Beverage combinations and up sell ****natives.
Serve guests their ordered food & beverages in an efficient and courteous manner as per the standard sequence of service.
To greet guests at the table and make sure that they receive ****, courteous and efficient service.
Keep discreet eye contact on the guests to ensure they are satisfied with the food and service, to respond to any additional requests and to determine when the meal has been completed.
Prepare beverages required for service; such as ice water, hot water or coffee/tea
Remove dirty dishes and silverware from guests’ tables between courses and after guests leave the table. Replaces used dishes and silverware for the next course and resets vacated tables. Restock condiments as needed.
Return dirty dishes, silverware, and glassware to dishwashing area, sort silverware, glassware, and other items, placing them in the designated areas for proper distribution.
Up-sell or promote all specials advertised in the outlet as well promoting slow moving items.
To repeat all guest orders
To be knowledgeable of all ingredients and prices of the food and beverage listed on the menu.
To maintain the reservation list, and check it frequently during the service
To have thorough knowledge of how to handle complaints
To handle guest enquiries in a courteous and efficient manner and report guest complaints or problems to the assistant outlet manager if no immediate solution can be found and assure follow-up with guests.
To know how to accurately records guest orders and operate MICROS system
To check periodically with guests to see if they would like anything else.
To actively push high profit food and beverage items.
To use approved suggestive selling techniques to up sell products with higher profit margin.
To inform guests of last order and liaise with kitchen.
